Blessings Two Years Ago

Two years ago today, I finally saw the light. It was a huge day for me two years ago.  I wrote a blog post about it and you can read it here:

My work in Lafayette, Indiana, two years ago was the hardest work I have ever done.  Two years ago today, the worst was over and I could begin to make way toward the light at the end of the tunnel.  Prior to January 5th two years ago, I really wasn't sure the light at the end of the tunnel actually existed!

Perhaps the Biggest Blessing of Two Years Ago was The Weather.  The Weather was surreal for an Indiana January.  I often said to people that the weather was so nice because my Mom mad ea Deal with God and kept the weather nice for all the work I was doing back then.  I honestly believed what I told people.  Many of them politely rolled their eyes but, honest, it made sense to me at the time.

January weather in Indiana is generally brutal.  Once in awhile it's beyond brutal.  And so it is now.  Totally beyond brutal.  I have no clue how I would have survived two years ago if the weather then was what it is now.  Frankly, I don't think it would have been possible to do what I did then in the kind of weather they are having now.

The January 2012 Weather was a Great Blessing and I Thank God for that Blessing.  Looking at the weather Lafayette is experiencing right now all I can say is "Thank God I didn't have to deal with such weather two years ago!"

This article really sums up just how bad it is there Sunday night.  Trust me, It's going to get a whole lot worse before they turn on the light at the end of the tunnel.

Brutal is an understatement.
