Still in The Game

Hey, we're still in The Game.  We got a resounding, if informal vote of confidence from members and Staff at the Parks & Recreation Commission.  It was very gratifying and heart warming.  I just threw it out there and said I was going to be gone until May 2011 and if the Commission felt I should resign, then I would.

The Big Man Dave said some real nice things about me and then the Chairman Bill--a laywer no less--chimed in with some real nice comments and compliments.  A few of the others verbalized nice things, too, and nobody said they wanted me to leave.  So I get to stay  YIPPEE!

They might even figure out a way for me to participate by conference call at each meeting.

To tell you the truth, I had no idea what to expect at today's meeting but it turned out far better than I could have ever expected.  Terry M. was so supportive and I appreciated it so very much.  Geeze, it felt great.

Susun was really happy and proud when I broke the good news to her.

I am very honored to serve on that Commission and very humbled that they want me to continue even if I won't be able to attend meetings for many months.  That's really welcome news and makes today a Very Good Day!

Cheers, jp
