I'll miss this

Easily the thing I will miss most about the job is what we call "recognition & appreciation." There's nothing quite like showing an individual or a group that you care about them, recognize and appreciate them.  I'd guess that in the past 2.5 years, we have prepared recogition certificates for probably about 600 people and organizations.  Sometimes, I get a whim and see somebody in the newspaper who's done something great and I make them a certificate.  They love it.  I love it.  We all love it.  This morning, I came to the office to make the certificate shown here.  In about 15-20 minutes I will be able to present it at the Board breakfast meeting.
It's a wonderful thing to do and I really will miss it--A LOT!
(Group photo added @ 9 am.)  I arrived at the restaurant a little before 8 am and pretty soon every trickled in.  What a great place to be discussing a Farmers Market.  You can see the Falls of Idaho Falls right out the window.  Off to the right is the Hilda McClure Garden that Susun has planted and maintained for the past 2 summers.  It's cold, grey, icy and here we are talking about brightly colored veggies, flowers and fruits!  Farmers are natural born optimists.  Well, anyway, I presented the certificate and got to tell them that "we love you" not once but three times.  They are a hoot and their lack of pretense shows in this candid shot.
