Sites Stats

It's been awhile since we devoted a blog post entirely to our weekly Site Statistics.  We have a full plate of potential blog posts this morning so we are actually procrastinating by choosing to discuss dry and boring statistics.

We've seen a small increase in daily visitors over the past few weeks from the 20-22 range to the 24-25 range.  Meanwhile, the length of visit has increased from its usual 2-3 minutes into 3-5 minutes range.
The statistics reflect blog usage since June 19, not since the blog's inception January 1st.  Except for the recent tiny incremental increase in daily visitors, the averages have remained remarkably static for many months.  The one average that's shown virtually no change is the "average page views per visit."  Incredibly, this number has been only a tick either side of 1.7 since forever.  Note that the page views are about double the total visitor figure.  That ratio has also been amazingly steady over time.  As we are approaching the end of this blog's first full year of existence, we think we can now interpolate pre-June usage and project usage for the remainder of December. We think it's reasonable to believe we will have had a grand annual total of over 7,000 visitors and an annual total of almost 14,000 page views in 2010. 

What's remarkable about those stats are that the numbers have been generated by a very small handful of Family and Friends we call LBRs (Loyal Blog Readers).  As you know, blocked search engines from indexing this blog and we've pulled it from Google's blog listings.  The blog is flying below the web's radar.  That's a good thing.  It's allowed us to enable instant comment posting.  We don't get any spam comments any more whatsoever.  That's a testimony to the benefits of being off web's "know all-see all" radar.

We have said it before, we're saying it now and we'll say it again: THANK YOU LBR's for your truly loyal and inspiration visitation to this goofy blog.  It's amazing to us that anyone would find "The Daily News" worth reading, let alone repetitively!  We appreciate knowing that you come here each day.  It makes our day each and every day. THANK YOU!
