In praise of emerging technology Part II

Technology continues to amaze us.  Every time we blink something new has been created.  So it is with SPOT.  Believe it or not, you can now buy a small device that actually tracks your location and beams it to the internet where arm chair hikers can eyeball your position and progress.  Dear Friend and neighbor Lizard (AKA: Chuckwalla and/or Gary W.) is out on the Opening Day of rifle elk season this morning.  He departed his nearby abode at 4 am this morning and hiked up the Long Canyon Trail hill.  Since then he's been moving mostly east on the flanks of The Mogollon Rim in hopes of filling his cow elk tag.  His location is perhaps maybe 8 airline miles from our home here at Montezuma Well.  Nobody travels as safely as Lizard--he's a pro at all that safety stuff.  We're not concerned about his safety, per se, we're just curious as to where he is hunting.  And technology makes it possible to follow his hunting progress in Real Time!  How cool is that?  WAY COOL!
