We're bearanoid

We're bearanoid now.  Click here to check it out:  http://bearanoid.com  Yep, there it is on the whole worldwide web for everyone to see--we're totally Bearanoid now!  Due to a change in plans described in the above blog post, we accidentally coined what might be an entirely new word: bearanoia.  One thing led to another and, almost before we know it we wound up with a blog, Twitter, Facebook AND an internet domain name.  The primary purpose of all of this is to help educate ourselves about bears and our own Bear Country behavior.  However, we like the word "bearanoid" a lot.  People these days won't go around and be talking with each other and politely say, "Well, you know, I'm Bear Aware."  Nah.  But we'll betcha they might catch on to the phrase "I'm bearanoid."  It has a nice ring to it.

I think we mentioned we dropped off a canister of bear spray at Rachel's Place so she and her husband can design some prototype holsters.  If they come up with at least one good design, I'm hoping we can brand it with the "Bearanoid" brand--the marketing motto would be "Get Bearanoid!"  I'd like to see what a mere baseball cap could do with that brand on it, too.  Maybe the "O" in noid could be a bear track icon.  Anyway, we're having a lot of fun with the whole thing.  As I was telling Susun last night, it now costs a mere ten bucks to get an internet domain name and link it to a blog via Google's blogger platform.  It would be tough to get as much entertainment value out of ten bucks any other way I know.  Heck, ten bucks sure won't buy a box of wine--it barely buys a bottle most places.  At least ten bucks will still get two cups of coffee or a medium decent fast food lunch for one.
