Hey, we're gittin' a taste of ice here--temp's down to 7 and like I said a little while ago--how LOW can it go?
Tonight we kicked off a renewed relationship with that timeless classic--the110 episode Northern Exposure TV series that ran from 1990 to 1995. We bought the Seasons 1 & 2 DVD's and started out with the pilot for the series. Neither of us had ever watched the pilot before so that was a real education. The pilot aired July 12, 1990, and was nominated for an Emmy for "Outstanding Writing." The first true episode after the pilot was a genuine gem. Man, those episodes are awesome and first class and I suspect we are gonna be watching them numerous times during the remainder of our lives.
As you might expect, Wiki has all the lowdown on Northern Exposure and you can click here to begin your reading.
As you know, I can't hear much of anything but the close captioning makes it all so easy to enjoy. Susun has decided she likes the "CC" function, too. It add a great dimension to watching a DVD. We are both really looking forward to tomorrow nights episode(s).
Gee, just as I am sitting here in the short time since typing the first paragraph, it's dropped another degree to 6 degrees. It's been awhile since I've seen the temps fall so freaking fast.
Hey, here's some news--this blog got another comment. Honest. It's a great comment, too, and it makes both of us feel real special. Thank You, Anonymous, we really appreciate it. In case you don't know, all comments are "moderated." So, there is a time delay between when you comment and when it shows up on the blog,. Look for the comments below a post--it's in the fine print. THANKS & Cheers, j&s
