Seems like it's been awhile since we last posted. We're trying to remember what we did during our absence here. Not much comes to mind, so let's fast forward to today. We just finished a really nice 2.5 hour bike ride around town with our neighbors, Kenyon and Julie. We had breakfast down at Bella Vita and then rode over to the hockey rink to see Ken's new refrigeration job there. It was very impressive. Susun's off walking with her friend, Jan. As you can easily see here, we don't have much to write about--that's why we've been on a blog break.
One interesting thing did happen, actually. We were quoted in an editorial tribute to James Ward Brykit. You can click here to read the fine article penned by Steve Ayers. Most LBRs know we have a lifelong love affair with anything relating to "history." JWB's daughter, Becky, wrote a Letter to the Editor explaining her late Father's relationship with history. By reading that letter, perhaps you can understand why and how I bonded so well with JWB. He was a "historian's historian." Click here to read the letter.
A month from now we should be well on our way to Arizona. The next few weeks are guaranteed to fly by in a blink of an eye. There's much to do--the prep work never seems to end and often seems to actually grow larger. That's the way it always is. No matter how much you do, there's just that much more to do as your departure date looms closer. No matter how fast you hustle, it always seems like you are falling farther behind in preparation. Perhaps it is the Law of Migratory Travel.
Have a great day & Many Cheers, jp
